Plotting the line:
My dear friend MMM started a blog this year, which bravely attempts to sum up each day with a sentence. When I attempted to do the same, I realized that I possess neither her determination nor her skill with brevity. I find I enjoy a more 3-D approach.
I would say that my chart, rendered with the same criteria (we might replace Hugo with, say, Netflix streaming over Wii--which is sadly the thing I use in place of a pet) would look almost identical to yours. Also, I mean, of course, that when you say 'My Family' I also would mean 'Kate's Family' (NOT my own).
